People these days
People: I discuss humanity as someone who is outside, looking in. I have a mental illness and a history of emotional and physical abuse, so my perspective is not like anyone else's. Since childhood I've often felt like I'm not really a member of the human race. Eventually I began to isolate myself. Isolation shaped my view of human beings and human interactions. Those of us who believe they can't trust others often feel isolated. As a result they avoid humanity, this way nobody can hurt them. My life experience gives me a unique viewpoint of people, their behaviour and their beliefs.
